Yesterday, U.S. and Swiss authorities announced a deal that will officially end the long tradition of Swiss bank secrecy for countless Americans with undisclosed Swiss bank accounts. On August 29, 2013, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released a Joint Statement between the U.S. Department of Justice and the Swiss Federal Department of Finance outlining the details of the agreement.
